What's a blog?
Some of you may be unfamiliar with the term "blog". It is basically an online journal, an abbreviated form of the word weblog. Blogs are used all over the Internet for various subjects from news to stories to propaganda to politics, etc. They are more or less like a discussion forum, but better organized. Some blogs allow you to respond to postings and others do not. Since La Palmera's blogs are purely informative, we are not offering readers the ability to comment.
However, we do have on our blogs the ability to subscribe via RSS feed. RSS is a syndication tool that is used to notify subscribers of updates. Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer both have RSS readers available. Internet Explorer's is built-in and Firefox has a free add-on called "Sage" that you can download.
